Facebook API changes = JWallpapers v2.3.1 |

After a couple of hours of having released v2.3.0, I noticed that the Facebook like button was behaving erratically in the demo site (button proceeded to an immediate un-like after a click on like). Soon enough I noticed that there's been some changes in the Facebook API and decided to update the JWallpapers code as a first step for debugging. After making the required changes, problems seem to be gone. The following new options were added:
- Send button.
- Font.
It would also seem that the iframe version of the like button now requires the Facebook App ID number, as it's added by the code generator (http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like/). Therefore, this field is now mandatory when enabling the like button.
Also make sure to update your template HTML element if you selected to add the Open Graph meta data. It seems that the Open Graph link changed as well. I've also updated the online documentation regarding this section.
These changes are now part of JWallpapers v2.3.1, which is available for download. |

A new mid-sized release of JWallpapers is now available for download. This new version fixes a small number of minor (imperceptible) bugs and adds the following set of features:
- Star ratings under thumbs as long as thumbs widths are at least 125px wide. Otherwise a text rating is displayed.
- New layout for the picture (detailed) view. Picture details, comments, tags, etc. are now displayed in a tabbed table which helps on better organizing and accessing content.
- Upgraded uploader. JWallpapers uploader is now using the most up to date version of Plupload (v1.4.3.2), which increases stability and provides a slicker interface driven by jQuery UI.
- EXIF/IPTC support. EXIF and/or IPTC data available on images can be displayed on the picture (detailed) view. The list of tags to be displayed is customizable.
- Geolocation support. A Google Map widget is rendered for images with valid EXIF GPS data.

A new minor (bug corrections) version of the JWallpapers Product Manager is available to JWallpapers JWallpapers VirtueMart e-Commerce Pack subscribers.
This version provides a fix for the following issues:
- Items always inserted as "On Special".
- Items always added as published.
It's my belief that both bugs were introduced due to a change in the VM API, but I haven't yet had the time to confirm this. |

The JWallpapers product manager component has been updated for compatibility with a newest version of the Nooku framework (rev.3251).
There are no improvements or new features available in this minor release. Nonetheless, everyone is encouraged to upgrade to this new version as it includes a more recent and more stable version of the Nooku framework. |
